Information we collect

CampusDeets is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not collect, store or process your personal or academic information on any server we own or operate.

• Crash reports and diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics, collected automatically when the app encounters an error.
• Aggregated, anonymised usage analytics via Firebase Analytics, used to understand feature usage.
• A device FCM token, used exclusively to deliver push notifications to your device.

Never collected

• Your VCET ERP credentials — we have no access to your login information at any point.
• Your academic data — attendance, results, timetables, fee details and notices are never stored by us.
• Your GPS location, contacts, camera or microphone data.
• Any personally identifiable information for advertising, profiling or commercial use.

How we use information

Technical data collected through Firebase is used solely to diagnose and resolve crashes, understand aggregate feature usage, and deliver push notifications for college announcements.

Data security

CampusDeets operates on a zero-storage model. There is no database, server or cloud storage containing your personal or academic information, so there is nothing held on our end that could be compromised. Your academic data is fetched live from the official VCET ERP each time you use the app.

Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade or transfer your information to any third party for commercial purposes. The only data flows that occur are to Google Firebase for the anonymised crash and analytics data described above, to the official VCET ERP to authenticate you, and where required by a valid legal process.

Your rights

• Opt out of analytics — request exclusion from Firebase Analytics by writing to campusdeets@gmail.com.
• Verify academic data — confirm accuracy directly through the official VCET ERP portal.
• Discontinue use — stop using the app at any time. Since no data is held about you, there is nothing to delete on our end.

Third-party services

The app integrates with the VCET ERP at erp.vcet.edu.in, the official source of all academic data, and with Google Firebase for crash reporting, push notifications and aggregated analytics. Links to external resources such as the official VCET website are not governed by this policy.

Children's privacy

CampusDeets is intended for college students and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the "last updated" date at the top of this page changes. Continued use of the app following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
