Guide
From install to first result.
What each screen does, in the order you will meet them.
Install & sign in
Install and sign in
CampusDeets is an Android app distributed on Google Play. There is no web version, and no separate account to create.
-
Install from Google Play
Open the CampusDeets listing on your Android phone and install it. Android 5.0 or newer is required.
-
Sign in with your VCET ERP credentials
Use the same username and password you use at erp.vcet.edu.in. CampusDeets does not create a second identity for you.
-
Land on your dashboard
Your course, division and semester are read from your record, and the home screen fills in from there.
Access is limited to students holding a valid VCET ERP account. Without working credentials there is nothing for the app to show.
Home screen
Reading the home screen
The home screen is a summary, not a destination. It is designed to be read standing in a corridor.
- Profile card — enrollment, course, year, division and contact details.
- Overall attendance — percentage for the current term with present, absent and total counts.
- Quick actions — attendance, results, fees and events, one tap each.
- Bulletin board — the latest department posts, with author and timestamp.
Attendance
Attendance
Attendance is the screen most students open first, so it answers one question quickly: am I safe?
- Switch terms with the tabs at the top.
- The overall percentage sits beside present, absent and total counts.
- The trend card plots the term against the requirement line with day, week and month views.
- Subject-wise rows show where a shortfall is coming from.
- QR attendance is available for supported classes and marks you contactlessly.
Percentages are calculated from what the college records. If a figure looks wrong, the correction has to happen at the college end — the app only reads.
Results
Results, marksheets and hall tickets
Exam paperwork is the part of the semester nobody wants to queue for.
- Results appear as soon as the college publishes them.
- Pick an exam and the summary shows SGPA, CGPA, percentage and total marks.
- Every subject expands into internal and external marks, credits and grade points.
- Marksheets download as PDF from inside the app.
- Hall tickets download the same way, without an office visit.
Timetable
Timetable
The timetable answers what is next, where, and with whom — without opening a calendar app.
- The month strip marks days that have classes.
- A summary line gives the number of classes and total hours for the day.
- Each block shows start and end time, duration, the lecture or practical tag, the subject, faculty initials and the room.
- The schedule stays in sync with what the college publishes.
Fees & profile
Fees and student profile
The two screens you open least often, and therefore the two you least want to hunt for.
- Fee status shows payment history and outstanding dues.
- It saves a trip to the accounts office for an answer that should take ten seconds.
- Student profile holds enrollment number, course, year, division and contact details.
Notifications
Notifications
Alerts are for things that change, not for things that exist.
- College announcements arrive as push notifications.
- Exam schedules are announced the same way.
- Timetable changes reach you without opening the app.
- The device token used for delivery is the only identifier involved, and it is removed within 7 days of a deletion request.
Data & privacy
How your data is handled
CampusDeets is an intermediary. It is worth being precise about what that means.
- It has no access to your credentials, and no database of student information.
- Attendance, results, timetables, fee details and notices are never stored on any server the project operates.
- Academic data is fetched live from the official VCET ERP each time you use the app.
- Only anonymised crash reports, aggregated analytics and your push token are collected, through Firebase.
- You may request exclusion from analytics by writing to the address on the contact page.
FAQ
Questions students actually ask
If yours is not here, the contact page is one click away.
Is there an iPhone or web version?
No. CampusDeets is published on Google Play for Android 5.0 and newer. There is no iOS build and no browser version.
Can I use it if I am not a VCET student?
No. The app is built exclusively around VCET data and requires a valid college ERP account to sign in.
Does it change anything on my college record?
No. It reads information from the college's official systems and acts purely as an intermediary. It does not modify records.
Where is my data stored?
Nowhere on our side. Academic data is fetched live from the VCET ERP and displayed; it is not retained, logged or stored. Close the app and that data is gone.
My attendance percentage looks different from the notice board.
The app shows what the college system returns for your account at that moment. Discrepancies have to be resolved at the college end.
A class is missing from my timetable.
Timetable data follows the published schedule. If a change is made at short notice, the app reflects it once the change is published.
How do I opt out of analytics?
Write to campusdeets@gmail.com and ask to be excluded from Firebase Analytics collection.
How do I delete my account?
Uninstall the app, then send a deletion request from the delete-account page. Device registration is removed within 7 days; anonymised analytics clear within 90.
